Redhill is a town in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey, England, around 19.5 mi (31 km) south of central London. The town has a population of about 18,000 and is part of the London commuter belt. The town was established in the 19th century, when a railway junction was built on the site of a former common. The town is known for its shopping centre, the Belfry, its theatre and cinema, the Harlequin, and its memorial park. Redhill also has excellent train links to London, Brighton and Gatwick Airport, as well as being close to the beautiful Surrey Hills, with Box Hill only a 20-minute drive away.

Education

Redhill is a town with a variety of educational opportunities, both state and independent. The town has two academies, The Warwick School and St Bede's School, which are both co-educational secondary schools with a range of academic, co-curricular and pastoral programmes. St Bede's School has a specialism in languages and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Journey times to London are around 40 minutes.
