If all the green gets a bit much then head to Reigate or Oxted for some retail therapy or head for Woldingham Station where you can be whizzing into London Bridge and London Victoria - there are trains every hour during peak times. The Thameslink at East Croydon provides access to town. The M25 is easily accessible and Gatwick is within half an hour making a last-minute getaway a breeze.
